MileEZ for Apple Watch lets you track mileage without pulling out your iPhone. Start trips, view live stats, and check your progress right from your wrist.

Apple Watch Features

MileEZ on Apple Watch includes:

  • Quick Start/Stop: Begin tracking with a single tap
  • Live Trip Stats: See real-time distance and duration
  • Complications: Add MileEZ to your watch face
  • Live Activities: Real-time trip updates on your watch

Setting Up Apple Watch

  1. Install MileEZ on your iPhone (version iOS 17.0 or later)
  2. Open the Watch app on your iPhone
  3. Scroll to MileEZ in the app list
  4. Toggle Show App on Apple Watch ON
  5. Wait for the app to install on your watch

The MileEZ watch app will appear on your Apple Watch home screen.

Starting a Trip from Apple Watch

  1. Open MileEZ on your Apple Watch
  2. Tap the Start Trip button
  3. Your trip begins tracking automatically
  4. Tap Stop when you reach your destination

Using Live Activities

Live Activities show your current trip on your watch face:

  • Distance: Real-time miles traveled
  • Duration: How long you've been driving

Live Activities appear automatically when you start a trip from your iPhone or Watch.

Adding Watch Face Complications

Complications let you start trips or view stats directly from your watch face:

  1. Press and hold your watch face
  2. Tap Edit > Complications
  3. Select a complication slot
  4. Scroll to find MileEZ

Using Siri on Apple Watch

Start tracking with voice commands:

  • "Hey Siri, start tracking with MileEZ"
  • "Hey Siri, stop tracking with MileEZ"

Battery Life Tips

To maximize Apple Watch battery while tracking:

  1. Use iPhone GPS: Let your iPhone handle location tracking
  2. Disable Always-On Display: Turn off during long trips
  3. Reduce Animation: Enable Reduce Motion in Watch settings
  4. Update Regularly: Keep watchOS and MileEZ updated

Most trips use less than 5% battery per hour of tracking.

Troubleshooting Apple Watch Issues

Watch App Won't Install

  1. Open Watch app on iPhone
  2. Check for watchOS updates
  3. Ensure both devices are on WiFi
  4. Try uninstalling and reinstalling

Trips Not Syncing

  1. Ensure iPhone and Watch are connected
  2. Check Bluetooth is enabled
  3. Open MileEZ on iPhone to force sync
  4. Restart both devices if needed

Complications Not Updating

  1. Remove and re-add the complication
  2. Force quit MileEZ on both devices
  3. Restart Apple Watch
  4. Check Background App Refresh is enabled

Compatible Apple Watch Models

MileEZ works with:

  • Apple Watch Series 6 and later
  • Apple Watch SE (2nd gen and later)
  • Apple Watch Ultra (all models)

Requires watchOS 10.4 or later.
